A 24-year-old man from Western Styria apparently hit local guests for no reason or haphazardly! The incident took place on the main square of Voitsberg on Sunday evening – the attacker was arrested.
At around 12:20 p.m., several patrols were alerted at a bar in Voitsberg’s main square, as apparently a drunk man went mad there and injured several people. When the police arrived, an injured person – a 39-year-old from the Voitsberg district – was lying on the floor in front of the bar, was unresponsive and was already being treated by paramedics.

A 24-year-old from the Voitsberg district sat on a bench at a nearby bus stop with bloodstains on his hands. Everyone present stated that this was the suspect. The drunk man was arrested and taken to the police station.

According to the police, Western Styria suddenly and apparently without reason and indiscriminately attacked and beat guests of the restaurant. The man punched the 39-year-old in the face, after which he fell to the ground. Seven other people were slightly injured in the 24-year-old’s attacks and several items in the restaurant were damaged.
After the interrogation, the 24-year-old was taken to Graz-Jakomini prison.
