According to the organizers, about 900,000 people danced and celebrated in Zurich at one of the biggest techno parties in the world in the best summer weather. After a Corona break in 2019 and 2020, the city volunteered with the 29th Street Parade as a meeting place for ravers from Switzerland and abroad. The celebration was overshadowed by the fatal swimming accident of a 27-year-old Street Parade visitor.
The motto of this year’s event was “Think!”. According to the organizing committee, only those who think can confirm, tick off or adjust their actions and prejudices. The meeting was largely peaceful. The police reported 36 provisional arrests on Sunday, including for theft, assault and drug offences.

According to the police, the Swiss jumped into the water in the area of the relocation early in the afternoon and did not resurface. The water police specialists were able to rescue the man from the lake a short time later. But all help came too late.
Eight stages along the route
Early Saturday afternoon, the first of about 25 Love Mobiles—brightly decorated trucks with large music systems—started their two-mile circuit around the lake basin. The people on the side of the road danced in the best mood to the thumping beats. On eight stages along the route, DJs played electronic music in the Swiss metropolis, which is also mainly known as the location of banks and insurance companies.
Numerous buses and trains from abroad had already arrived in Zurich in the morning to take the techno fans to the party. Some 850,000 people took part in the last parade before the corona pandemic in 2019.
