Incident in the Upper Austrian town of Steyr: first father and son attacked each other – when a police officer intervened, their aggressiveness was directed at the officer. The duo were eventually arrested and the police officer was taken to hospital for treatment.
On Sunday around 2:40 am, police officers in Steyr noticed two people walking into the village square in the village square and behaving remarkably loudly. The people were a 44-year-old and his 23-year-old son, both from Steyr. The two men argued loudly and a scuffle ensued, after which a police officer approached the two and admonished them.
Taken to hospital for treatment
They did not respond to repeated requests to stop their loud behavior. The 23-year-old continued to behave extremely aggressively towards the police officers, which is why he was threatened with arrest if his behavior was not stopped. After the father and son attacked the police officers, they were both arrested and taken to the police station in Linz. The injured police officer went to the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen clinic in Steyr for medical examination.
