Dangerous scenes Tuesday morning in Asten (Upper Austria): Flames suddenly burst from the engine compartment of a BMW. The driver was able to free himself and his seven-year-old daughter from the car just in time.
The driver of the vehicle was traveling on the Autobahn, but due to a strange noise coming from the engine compartment, he left it on the Asten/St. Florian. Shortly after the stop, flames were already shooting out of the hood. The driver got himself and his seven-year-old daughter to safety and alerted the fire brigade.
The fire brigade of Asten extinguished the fire and called in the help of the fire brigade of Raffelstetten for support. The occupants remain unharmed.
