The increase in diesel is explained by the new bottlenecks of this raw material from Russia
The average price of diesel has risen for the third week in a row, confirming the end of the downward trend of the last two months, while that of petrol is down 0.83%. Specifically, the average price of a liter of diesel has risen 2.07% this week to 1,921 euros, although it is currently well behind the highs of late June, when it reached 2,141 euros per litre.
For its part, the average price of a liter of petrol has resumed its declines, interrupting last week after concatenating nine consecutive declines, and has fallen by 0.83% to 1,779 euros, according to data from the European Union Petroleum Bulletin.
For example, the average price of a liter of diesel in Spain remains above that of petrol for the fourth consecutive week.
If the subsidies in force since April are included, the price of a liter of petrol would be EUR 1,579, while that of diesel would be EUR 1,721, in both cases lower than at the end of March.
Despite the price drop recorded over the summer, fuel prices remain particularly high compared to previous years at this point in the year.
The barrel of Brent, a benchmark in Europe, traded above $88 on Thursday, registering a drastic decline on the back of a recession forecast and lower Chinese consumption.
