The price for the same product is three and a half times higher: Despite inflation and rising prices, new cost traps are lurking in local supermarkets. Single-person households in particular pay extra.
Attentive customers have already noticed that small packages of carrots for snacks or snacks have recently become available on the fruit shelves of several supermarkets. A tempting proposition if you want a healthy snack during your lunch break or if you don’t want to buy half a kilo of carrots. Especially those who live alone and want to avoid food waste like to use the smaller packaging.
However, a look at the price tag shows that while the normal pack of organic carrots costs 1.39 euros, you pay 1.79 euros for the “organic snack carrots”. That makes a kilo price of 9.94 euros instead of 2.78 euros – 358 percent more!
