The story is simple: banks bring in profits, but good savers get little or none of it. Bank Austria has a clause that guarantees 0.0 percent on balances. The VKI is therefore instituting summary proceedings. It could be the start of a series of lawsuits. “These are illegal trade practices,” said Social Affairs Minister Johannes Rauch.
