Another 500 employees will be brought on board in the coming months, the expansion of the factory in Croatia has started and the order book continues to fill up! After the Corona crisis in aviation, the FACC is also visibly feeling the revival. Turnover increased, but the result after taxes and levies is negative.
In addition to a repair and service contract for engine parts from Pratt & Whitney Canada, the FACC is also pleased that, in addition to short- and medium-haul aircraft, there is now significantly more demand for long-haul aircraft. To be prepared for demand, the company, which operates from the Innviertel (Upper Austria), is also expanding its workforce: 500 additional employees will come on board in the coming months.
Despite all the positive trends, the environment for FACC remains challenging: the supply of materials is still difficult in some cases, and inflation-related cost increases need to be absorbed, especially in the area of personnel.
All this also has an impact on the result: Although turnover increased to 513.9 million euros after three quarters of 2023, the result after taxes and levies amounted to minus 6.7 million euros.
