Several people were killed in a serious accident on Autobahn 38 in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The situation is still confusing.
Early Friday morning, two vehicles collided between Querfurt and Eisleben. The culprit would have been a wrong-way driver.
“Between Eisleben and Schafstädt: Attention, a wrong-way driver is approaching, do not overtake, be careful on both lanes,” the traffic warning service for the A38 motorway said at 4:24 a.m. on Friday.
A minute later, the wrong-way driver crashed head-on into a car, Bild reports.
The highway was closed towards Göttingen between Querfurt and Eisleben. The Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk reports three deaths. The police cannot yet provide information about the number of victims.
