Gschwandtner Reveals – The Fitness Secret of “Mister Runtastic”

Date:

With this result, almost every New Year’s resolution will fade away! Florian Gschwandtner recently posted on his Instagram channel that he did 22,525 push-ups last year. “I want to do even more in 2024,” says the founder of Runtastic, who works as an entrepreneur in the sports app sector.

Florian Gschwandtner did 22,525 push-ups in 2023 with his 100 push-ups app. The app automatically recognizes the push-ups with the built-in mobile phone camera and there is also a training plan to help you achieve your goals.

“I do about fifty push-ups every day. I started doing this at the age of 15. “It takes less than three minutes a day,” says Gschwandtner, speaking of “one of the secrets to my fitness success.” In March 2023, the 40-year-old launched the app 100 Push-Ups. Since then, around 20 million push-ups have been done with the app and 2,600 paying customers have been recruited.

The Runtastic founder’s Foxyfitness GmbH portfolio now includes four apps: from the six-pack to the leg and butt trainer.

Personal goal: 25,000 push-ups
At the beginning of this year, a 31-day streak challenge was launched: “The point is that people – regardless of the app – do a workout every day and thus extend their streak to 31 days.” Gschwandtner’s personal goal for 2024? “25,000 push-ups.”
