In addition to the bankrupt furniture stores Kika/Leiner, the local operators are now also involved in insolvency proceedings. The restaurants, which were known for their cheap food offerings, have already closed.
The restaurants were actually supposed to remain open until the end of the Kika/Leiner sale at the end of January, but according to the bankruptcy administration, that is not possible.
Claims have been submitted for an amount of 4.5 million euros
The closure order was given on December 30, the AKV reported on Tuesday. Accordingly, claims worth approximately 4.5 million euros have been filed to date.
In concrete terms, it concerns two companies that ran the restaurant. As a result of the insolvency proceedings of Leiki Gastro Alpha GmbH, there have so far been 126 creditor claims (of which 98 employee claims) worth approximately EUR 2.74 million.
In the Leiki Gastro Beta GmbH proceedings, 73 creditors (52 of which are employee claims) have so far filed claims for a total amount of approximately EUR 1.76 million.
The 17 remaining branches of the bankrupt furniture chain Kika/Leiner will permanently close their doors at the end of January. Sales have been going on in the branches since the beginning of December, after the company’s bankruptcy.
