In the United States, the Facebook Mother Meta apparently plans to move its head office from Delaware to Texas or to another American state. This reported this on Friday the “Wall Street Journal” (WSJ), referring to the case.
The Social Media Giant has already discussed the possible changes with Texas officials, the newspaper wrote.
Meta denied moving plans
The conversations were held before the US President Donald Trump took place, the Wsj continued. A meta spokesperson said that the company was not going to lay its head office from Menlo Park, California, but refused to comment on Reuters for a possible recovery from the company.
Metas possible step would fit in a way that Elon Musk and his company Tesla and SpaceX have already taken. However, Musk left Delaware after a court of the US state had asked him to do without his $ 56 billion (currently 53.88 billion euros).
Many American companies believe that Texas offers them a cheaper legal and regulatory environment, especially in areas such as taxation and business management.
