Currently, 13 branches are still being operated in Austria, for example in Vienna, Innsbruck, Krems, Graz, Pasching, Villach or Klagenfurt.
Almost 800,000 euros loss in the last financial year
In the tax year 2022/2023, which ended on June 30, 2023, the minus in the balance of Orion Versand GmbH & Co KG was almost 190,000 euros. In the last financial year 2023/2024, the loss then rose to nearly 800,000 euros. “Despite a negative equity, however, there is none about -indoors legislation in the sense of insolvency legislation because the liabilities to the German parent company, Orion Shipping GmbH & Co KG, Flensburg are available and these obligations are clearly exceeding the negative equality,” says the commercial register.
At the same time, according to the Orion management, there is a “positive continuation prediction”, which is associated with restructuring. In the course of this, four of the last 45 employees received a “blue” letter.
In any case, you want to make the turnaround at the end of the day. “Despite these challenges, we look optimistic in the future: our e-commerce activities develops well and there are also the first signs of returning the willingness to buy in stationary trade,” Postmeyer is confident.
