Liererando has ended his employees. Liererando announced that 90 percent of the ‘legitimate employees’ have approved the social plan, which, according to reports, 1.7 million euros.
The delivery flee consisted of around 850 drivers before the work cut off. “With the termination of our employee model, we will have to relieve around 600 drivers, with the exhaustion of all possibilities,” Liererando announced in March. After the resignation, many suppliers had demonstrated at this step.
Longest notice periods until August
The social plan includes voluntary severance payments and other support services. According to media reports, the plan would have a volume of EUR 1.7 million – this includes an hardship fund with 400,000 euros.
Employees in the operation of delivery funds with long notice periods would leave the company at the latest in August, the VIDA trade union told the APA. Employees can agree to the social plan until 20 May.
Liererando changes the personnel policy
In contrast to Foodora and Wolt, the subsidiary of Austria of Just Eat Takeaway has usually offered his bodies and usually offered in Austria since 2016, but his personnel policy changed in the spring of 2025 with regard to economic pressure by the competition.
Up to 50 percent more drivers are needed
In the future, the delivery service will rely on a network of free employees. Due to the switch, the need for drivers is increasing by around 35 to 50 percent, according to Diegroando. According to the company, about a quarter of the order volume is already covered by “the new model”. At the moment you are still looking for freelance deliverers, especially in Graz, Klagenfurt, Linz, Innsbruck and Salzburg.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Korinna Schumann (Spö) had announced a focus on platform work and fake self-employed in the light of the demolition of the delivery basis. The necessary legal framework is provided in the government program.
