The American online retailer Amazon orders around 5000 electric supply vans from Mercedes-Benz, as the two companies said today.
More than half of the vehicles must be used in Germany, the rest in four other European countries: Austria, France, Italy and Great Britain. According to Amazon, the electric vans have to deliver more than 200 million packages per year.
According to Mercedes-Benz, this is the largest order for electric vehicles from the Stuttgart car manufacturer. Amazon had already ordered 1800 Electric Mercedes liver vehicles in 2020. In the past decade, the American group has prescribed CO2 neutrality against 2040, Mercedes joined this “Climate Plessge” initiative 2020.
US President Donald Trump rejects climate protection measures and announced the exit of the United States of the Climate Agreement in Paris in one of his first official acts. Many American companies have recently limited programs to promote diversity among Trump.
