Carmen Mola starts promoting her fourth novel, ‘Las madres’, at the Murcia Book Fair

Date:

The organization announces that the three authors, including Agustín Martínez from Lorca, will be at various events in the city on Friday, October 7 to publicize the adventures of the researcher Elena Blanco, a bestselling phenomenon.

The Murcia Book Fair, which will hold a new edition from October 6 to 12, will include Carmen Mola, pseudonym of writers Jorge Díaz, Lorca Agustín Martínez and Antonio Mercero, winners of the Planeta 2021 prize for ‘The beast’. On Friday, October 7, they will be in Murcia in various acts throughout the day. That same day, at 8.30 pm, they will tell the ins and outs of their editorial novelty, ‘Las madres’ (‘The gypsy bride 4’), in the Presentation Pavilion, which will be available in bookshops from September 27. Alfaguara Negra publishes the fourth title of the Elena Blanco saga, ‘Las madres’. ‘La Red Purple’ (2019), ‘La Nena’ (2020) and ‘La Bestia’ (2021) are previous titles of Carmen Mola.

The Murcia Fair will be the first fair where they will be present to sign copies of this book, as confirmed by Jesús Boluda, Director of the Murcia Book Fair and the Palin Association of Makers and Artists, organizer of this literary event, together with the Municipal Council of Murcia and the Autonomous Community, supported by LA VERDAD.

For Boluda, the presence of Carmen Mola, a bestselling phenomenon, is an incentive to enjoy this new edition of the Book Fair. “Especially because they have just released a new novel and Murcia is the first stop for their promotion.” Carmen Mola will be present at the booth of leading authors of LA VERDAD on October 7 at 7:00 PM, and they will also be signing in the morning.

The Murcia Book Fair offers anyone interested in helping altruistically the opportunity to do so through its volunteer service. «It is a fundamental pillar of the fair, because you can enjoy it from a different prism, from the organization, and it is still possible for them to participate. You just need to send an email to requests@palin.es and they will contact them. There are people who can only be one morning or one afternoon. It’s basically a visitor information feature.”

More than 800 authors will visit the Murcia Book Fair. “We have 60 booths, there are many publishers and, to give an example, Círculo Rojo has all the hours from the start of the fair to the end of the last day with different authors every hour.” This year there will be more stands than ever along Paseo Alfonso X El Sabio, between Santo Domingo and the Archaeological Museum. Presentations, round table discussions and poetry recitals will take place in the same museum.
