For the first time Cartagena will host the ‘Grand Christmas Gala- Dance Stars’ under the artistic direction of José Carlos Martínez, from Cartagena, a star of the Paris Opera and former director of the National Dance Company. The gala, which will take place on December 27, as announced by the Consistory, will feature a careful selection of excerpts from some of the most popular ballets and other pieces of different styles, such as Spanish dance or contemporary language, which will be performed by prominent Spanish dancers and soloists who are successful in national and international companies.
This is the fourth edition of the ‘Great Christmas Gala-Dance Stars’, which had already landed in the city of Murcia. Outside of that time, the format has visited the cities of Alicante, Pamplona and Marbella, giving many Spanish dancers the opportunity to dance in their home country.
Tickets for the gala can be purchased at the box office of the El Batel Auditorium and on the website. Prices range from €24 to €40, with discounts for young people, pensioners, the unemployed and ‘Friends of El Batel’.
