La 2 will broadcast this family concert live this Thursday from 8 p.m. with classical and rock music
The RTVE Symphony Orchestra and Chorus opens the musical year this Thursday with the traditional Epiphany Gala. The tenor from Granada and showman José Manuel Zapata leads the RTVE Symphony Orchestra and Chorus with a show marked by the humor of Zapata himself and the director Paco Mir. The concert can be followed live on La 2, Radio Clásica and RTVE Play from the Teatro Monumental in Madrid from 8 p.m.
The show for the whole family includes well-known works from the classical repertoire such as ‘The Radetzky March’ and the ‘The Bat’ waltz, as well as songs from Giuseppe Verdi’s operas such as the aria ‘La donna e mobile’ by Rigoletto, or the ‘Triumphal Procession’. ‘ by Aida or an excerpt from Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. There are also other well-known works such as the Neapolitan ‘O sole mio’ by Capua and pieces from the rock world, such as AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’ and even a Mozart-style version of ‘La Macarena’ adapted by Juan Francisco Padilla.
