The leader of Girasoules, Kike Tarrasó, collaborates and the video clip, a preview of the next album, was shot on the beaches of Mazarrón and Valencia
The Murcian group Nito Rock Band has a new single, ‘Fluye’, a theme inspired by the sea that aims to be a fresh bubble bath this summer season. It is a song with Latin airmen in which the leader of Girasoules, Kike Tarrasó, who now leads his solo project under the name Hearendless, is collaborating.
With an LP under his belt (‘Hazando rock and roll’, produced by Miguel Bañón), Nito Rock embarks on a new project, leaving the most classic rock behind and introducing himself to the most Latin sounds. “It’s a topic that was born at the beginning of the pandemic, when we were locked up. I wanted to write something new that would get me out of that limited situation,” says the guitarist and composer. “I think it’s necessary”, the musician indicates, “that people let themselves go more and think less, because that would be much better for all of us. What we have learned best after the pandemic is the lesson of ‘carpe diem’, and ‘Fluye’ aims to reflect that concept.
“The rest of the songs that will complete the album – which will be released after the summer, produced by Vicente Sabater – have the same overtones, with southern sounds and rock guitars,” he adds. The collaboration with Tarrasó came about after a concert that Girasoules performed in Valencia after 20 years of separation. “I told Kike that I had a very Latin theme, if he wanted to collaborate, and from the first moment he offered himself. He hadn’t sung in Spanish in two decades, so it was a challenge for him too. In the end, it was a pleasure to work together,” he explains.
The single is accompanied by a video clip shot on the beaches of Mazarrón and Valencia, by Alberto Valero and Yolanda Méndez. Nito Rock shared the stage with the likes of Javier Vargas, Santiago Campillo, Buddy Whittington and Pajaro.
