Six digital spearheads

Between anticipation, nerves and applause, the names of the winners of the Web Awards of the Region of Murcia 2022 were announced yesterday. The veteran competition, which already has fourteen editions, once again appreciated the work on the Internet of companies, institutions, associations and individuals from this country , during a gala in the gardens of Magna Garden. The meeting, in which magician Miguel de Lucas participated as master of ceremonies, gave a face and a voice to the winners of the six categories: Business, E-commerce, Leisure/Services, Personal/Blog, Associative and Startups. Over 250 nominations were presented this year, in line with previous years’ figures, with the jury initially selecting 24 proposals (four per category) and then selecting the six winners.

The event started with the intervention of the journalist Víctor Rodríguez, head of the edition of LA VERDAD, and the Minister of Economy, Finance and Digital Administration, Luis Alberto Marín, who also presented the first prize to Begoña Ruiz, director and coordinator of Estudio Lasala , in the ‘startup’ category. Immediately afterwards, Olga García, regional director of CaixaBank in Murcia, presented the prize for the best corporate website to Carmen Raquel, manager of Casa Aimé.

In the e-commerce category, Roberto Martínez, General Manager of Marnys, was recognized by Juan Diego Sastre, Director of Digital Development and Audiences of LA VERDAD. Isabel Sánchez, Director of Individuals at Gesa Mediación, then presented the signature hand-shaped trophy to Juan Antonio Martínez, CEO of Street Wood.

Ana Cristina Navarro, founder and content creator at soycristinanavarro.es, received the award for the best personal website/blog given to her by Carlos López Portland, business director of LA VERDAD. The recognition of the social initiative went to Jesús Abandonado, whose award was obtained by the brother Martín Cuenca, a member of the Board of Trustees, by the Mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano.

ENAE Business School, through the Fuerm Foundation, held an automatic draw for a 50% funded scholarship to complete one of the master’s degrees it will teach from October. Santiago Foulquié, CDO and Marketing Director of ENAE Business School, presented this check to Juan Luis Barreda, creator of Tesoricos de la Región de Murcia. The other finalists received a direct discount of 30% on the master of their choice. The first mayor of Murcia was responsible for closing the act.
