The photos of Díaz Burgos, Pedro Farias-Nardi and Kurt Snhintzer ‘Conrado’ shine in the art section of La Mar de Músicas
La Mar de Músicas de Cartagena is programming six exhibitions with free admission for all audiences from July 8 to September 30. Through them you can take a tour through the cultural and natural wealth of the Dominican Republic. The proposals of the different rooms take a tour of the people of the Caribbean country, focusing on how music and the natural environment influence their daily lives.
Dominican artists Pedro Farias-Nardi and Frank Báez will be in town, as well as Spaniards Nono Bandera, Salvi Vivancos and Juan Manuel Díaz Burgos. The latter, a renowned photographer, curated a sample of the images taken by Austrian physician Kurt Snhnitzer ‘Conrado’, who lived in exile in Ciudad Trujillo, now Santo Domingo.
The spaces are located in the El Batel Auditorium, the City Hall, the Muralla Carlos III Exhibition Hall, the Domus del Pórtico and the old CIM of the UPCT. And they’re titled “Sea of Tranquility,” “SON,” “Conrado Archive,” “Ice Between Borders,” “Flows,” and “Dance. Dance. Dance.’
