What was once a splashing sound turned into a raging stream. War cries resound where peace flags fluttered the day before yesterday. States once courted are exiled, streets blocked by demonstrators with opposing goals. Supermarket and energy bills have almost doubled. There is no point in remembering the names of ministers; they change too often.
