Anyone who dares to criticize the situation is relegated to the right corner by the ubiquitous guardians of the prescribed zeitgeist as a “kick-for-hire”. George Orwell smiles in the afterlife.
What’s going on in the world! Things go by way too quickly. Already 2500 years ago Democritus of Abdera said: “Panta rhei – everything flows”. What was once a splashing sound turned into a raging stream. War cries resound where peace flags fluttered the day before yesterday. States once courted are exiled, streets blocked by demonstrators with opposing goals. Supermarket and energy bills have almost doubled. There is no point in remembering the names of ministers; they change too often.
