The former ETA leader remains in prison in Soto del Real and the delivery lasts up to two months.
The French authorities delivered the prisoner to Spain this Monday Garikoitz Aspiazu Rubina, Txeroki, to be tried before the National Supreme Court for an attack perpetrated by ETA in Bilbao on January 12, 2002, involving a car bomb that caused material damage.
As reported by Europa Press, citing police sources, the former ETA leader is now in Madrid and will remain in prison in Grove of the Real.
It was last January when the investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal decided to extradite Aspiazu for: a maximum period of two monthsdespite the fact that the National Court had requested six.
Meanwhile, the defense had asked for the supply to be limited to one month because it was easier to help him in the French prison of Lannemezan, where he is currently serving his sentence.
Txeroki it was arrested on November 17, 2008 in France and the judiciary of that country, as well as the Spaniards, have convicted him on several occasions.
In 2011, he was sentenced to 377 years in prison for 21 attempted murders and terrorist acts.
