The president of the Spanish government will report this afternoon on the energy saving and management plan.

The president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, on Tuesday guaranteed that the measures that could be proposed soon for energy saving they will not be “dramatic” nor will they affect the quality of life of citizens.
Sánchez has started his appearance in the Senate and recognizes the “uncertainties” that weigh on the Spaniards after the holidays, with the energy crisis and “prices through the roof”.
Marked by inflation and concerns about energy resources, a meeting is set to take place in the Senate this afternoon eye in eye that has raised special expectations, those of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and those of the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. The rest of the parties will also join in, but they will remain in the background.
The request to appear handed over to the Senate by the executive branch indicates Sánchez’s will to “inform about the Savings Plan and energy management and the territorial perspective, as well as the economic and social context”.
Therefore, the debate is not limited to the decree law on energy-saving measures already voted in Congress, but also includes: the design of that emergency plan which the government should send to Brussels, as well as an analysis of the country’s economic context.
