It also condemned that “certain political parties”, without naming any in particular, try to instrumentalize a tragedy by resorting to journalistic speculation.
At the same time, the PSOE spokesperson and Minister of Education and Vocational Training of the Government of Spain, Pilar Alegría, deplored the statements of the PP’s institutional vice-secretary, Esteban González Pons, who on Tuesday urged Marlaska to resign: ” That a leader of the PP, with all the newspaper library they carry, allows himself to make these remarks about a Home Secretary, it never ceases to be ironic for a term, especially when we are talking about absolutely gut-wrenching facts,” he said.
