Gonzalo Boye, the lawyer for the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont, has assured that “all exiles will return to Catalonia”, although he has not given a date for that return.
In an appearance in Brussels (Belgium), the lawyer reviewed the new decision of the Supreme Court magistrate, Pablo Llarenain which he has withdrawn the crime of sedition against the former Catalan president, but maintains his prosecution for embezzlement and disobedience.
Boye has clarified that Puigdemont’s return will be after the resolution on the petition to the European Parliament, which he hopes will take place at the end of February or March. But at least he added that the final decision will be made by the former Catalan president himself, like the rest of the “exiles”.
