Rents for non-profit cooperatives have increased. The reason for this is the development of interest rates. Governor Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ) therefore announces talks with the cooperatives.
Inflation was the focus of the SPÖ club retreat in Stegersbach. For example, Doskozi does not want to “accept” rent increases for non-profit cooperatives. Currently there would be price increases of up to 20 percent. Doskozil announces talks with the cooperatives to “stabilize rents”. The price increase is the result of the interest rate situation. But it is unfair to blame the tenants for this.
Cooperative chairman counters
The president of the state group of non-profit building associations, OSG chairman Alfred Kollar, responded that rents for many apartments had not risen for years: “Now there are increases due to capital market interest rates and annuity jumps in government bonds. ” One is ready for discussions and had already offered it last week.
New salary scheme for medical specialists
What else happened during the exam? The country wants to increase the salaries of medical specialists in order to attract medical professionals to the country. “We will offer the best wages in Austria,” says Doskozil. The entry should amount to 140,000 euros gross per year. Club boss Robert Hergovich announced an advertising campaign for the country’s heat price cap. EU Mandate Andreas Schieder also reported on anti-inflation measures.
