Two years after its foundation on February 14, 2021, the vaccination-critical MFG (People’s Freedom-Fundamental Rights) has a new federal party administration – namely the Upper Austrian provincial administration.
This was presented by the new chairman, leader of the state party and member of the state parliament, Joachim Aigner, on Tuesday in Linz. Former party leader Michael Brunner remains politically active as “honorary chairman” with a view to “international networking”, he said in the press conference.
Five Upper Austrians in the team
In concrete terms, the new six-person “national operational team” consists of five Upper Austrians: in addition to Aigner, these are the two members of the state parliament Dagmar Häusler and club president Manuel Krautgartner, as well as the finance officer Petra Buchner and secretary Karin Waltran.
Team is “firmly in the saddle”
The party is “firmly in the saddle” in Upper Austria after entering the state parliament and has a “stable, flexible team”, Aigner explained the current “Upper Austrian bias”. Federal party deputy chairman Christian Fiala remains on the board. The new board was elected on Sunday with a narrow two-thirds majority.
In the Corona year 2021, the MFG had three seats in the state parliament in Upper Austria and thus achieved club status. In the elections in Tyrol (2022) and Lower Austria at the end of January, she did not make it to the state parliaments.
