EH Bildu has confirmed that it will support Jeltzale formation candidate Raúl García Ezquerro to prevent the PP from taking on the mayoralty.
The PNV candidate for re-election as mayor of Laguardia (Álava), Raúl García Ezquerro, has confirmed that he will present his candidacy for re-election as head of the college of mayor and aldermen, and is in favor of repeating a government agreement with EH Bildu , given that both formations together form a “very large” majority.
García Ezquerro, in an interview on Radio Euskadi, analyzed the situation in which the administration of this municipality remained after the elections of the 28th, in which the PP obtained 345 votes and four councillors, the PNV 332 votes and three councillors, and EH Bildu 168 votes and two councillors, while the PSE-EE lost the only mayor it had.
EH Bildu has confirmed that it will support the PNV candidate to take over as mayor from César García de Olano (PP). The party led by Arnaldo Otegi has already announced its support for candidacies to oust the PP from the board of consistories.
