The general secretary of Podemos says that its formation is taking its rightful role in this campaign within the Sumar coalition.
Podemos Secretary General Ione Belarra has confirmed that Podemos is taking on its corresponding role in this campaign in the coalition with Sumar and that they are aiming at “rehabilitating the coalition government”.
Belarra took part in a performance in Iruña/Pamplona today, Thursday 22 June. The media present asked him about the work that the purple formation is doing within the Sumar coalition, in particular whether it will be a work “of equals”. In this regard, the Secretary General of Podemos has replied that “besides the exchange, which everyone has clearly seen, we are now focusing on revalidating the coalition government, that is what we are going to do and that is where they are going to take my effort”.
Ione Belarra added that they will continue “deepening the social and feminist transformations that the government of Spain has been promoting throughout the legislature. It is what we have been asked to do and it is what we are going to do”.
