The Austrian armed forces need Swiss-style neutrality: “We have spent far too little on the army for far too long,” says FPÖ veteran Andreas Mölzer in the current TV duel with Eva Glawischnig on krone.tv.
The militia system needs to be expanded enormously and that requires a lot of extra money: ‘For a long time, army trucks could no longer start because there was not enough money for fuel.’ So a lot has to be bought now. at a high price, and the costs are high. Billions of dollars for new trucks, tank renovations, helicopters and transport planes. Glawschnig approves of the investments, but notes: “The budget is not an ATM that anyone can just press. If the recently announced childcare measures cannot be implemented through the investments of the federal armed forces, then it will not work.”
In the video above you can see many other explosive details, such as where to invest in the armed forces.
