Viennese FPÖ boss Dominik Nepp tried to calm down on Saturday over the anonymous complaint against the Viennese FPÖ found on the mobile phone of former FPÖ MP Hans-Jörg Jenewein. The ad was “completely irrelevant,” he said in the summer lecture “ORF Vienna Today”. There are no frictions within the party, says Nepp.
The draft ad was found by investigators on an electronic device owned by the ex-MP. The ad was allegedly submitted anonymously in October and was directed against the Viennese FPÖ. It is said to be about misuse of money.
“Of course we are going to investigate and we have already instructed lawyers to also check the content of this ad. And it was considered completely unfounded and irrelevant,” Nepp emphasized on Saturday. The issue is being exaggerated by the media in an attempt to provoke a dispute within the party.
“There’s no friction,” says Nepp, “Sometimes there are substantive nuances that are different.” For example, with federal party chairman Herbert Kickl, he is fighting the “Vaccination Act” or the fight against inflation.
