The event was attended by the President of the Basque Parliament, the Lehendakari, members of the House of Representatives, and spokespersons and representatives of parliamentary groups.
For another year the Basque parliament did this Friday an event commemorating Remembrance Day. To do this, it has had the presence of the lehendakari, Inigo Urkulluand the President of the House, Bakartxo Tejeria, including political and institutional representatives.
The Chamber will, as with previous events on this date, keep a cauldron burning all day, next to the sculpture paying tribute to the victims, the midnight compasslocated next to the main entrance of the institution.
The day of remembrance for the victims will start at 10am. and will be attended by the President of the Basque Parliament, the lehendakari, members of the House of Representatives and spokespersons and representatives of parliamentary groups, as reported by the legislature in a statement.
During the meeting, an offering of flowers is made and two minutes of silence are observed. The ceremony ends with the performance of ‘Agur jaunak eta andreak’.
The outer doors of Parliament remain open all day so that citizens can participate in the wreath-laying ceremony.
