Thousands of people took to the streets this afternoon in the capitals of the entire Spanish state, at the invitation of the PP, in demonstrations against the investiture treaty of the acting President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, with the Catalan independents, which provides amnesty for those who have been convicted by the ‘trials’.

So, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Pamplona and Vitoria They have organized concentrations of rejection of these pacts, and in the case of the capital of Navarre, right-wing and ultra-right demonstrators (Vox joined the protest) have filled a large part of the Plaza del Castillo.

There, thousands of people, approximately 6,000 according to the Spanish government delegation, have called to “fight the fight against impunity”.

It was a mobilization characterized by its festive character, with songs such as ‘Que viva España’ by Manolo Escobar or ‘I will resist’ by the Dynamic Duo. Attendees filled half of the Plaza del Castillo, where many flags of Spain, Europe and part of Navarre were on display, as well as posters with the motto “Spain on its feet” or “Spain does not surrender.” Slogans such as ‘Puigdemont to prison’, ‘Pedro Sánchez resigns’ and ‘Long live Spain’ are also sung.

Several representatives of the People’s Party of Navarre were seen, led by the president, Javier García, or the general secretary, Amelia Salanueva. There were also deputies Carlos García Adanero and Sergio Sayas, parliamentarian Irene Royo and Pamplona councilor Carmen Alba. From other parties was the Vox parliamentarian Emilio Jiménez.

The demonstration against the amnesty called by the Cataluña Suma platform in Barcelona under the slogan “Not in the name of Spain. No to the amnesty” started this Sunday in the central Sant Jaume Square, which was full of demonstrators.

In Madrid They packed the city center (80,000 people according to the Spanish government delegation, and 500,000 according to the PP), and as with all protests, dressed in Spanish flags and posters against the amnesty, against Sánchez, against the Catalan politicians, etc.

The chairman of the PP, Alberto Núñez, spoke during the protest Feijootold the demonstrators that the majority of Spaniards “are no longer silent”, and that they will protest “until there are elections”.

Feijóo closed the meeting in Madrid with a speech in which he also opined that next week’s vote, in which Sánchez is expected to be inaugurated, “will mean the opposite of what was voted at the ballot box on July 23.”

The PP leader attacked Sánchez during most of his speech, accusing him of “lying” and has not changed his mind on the amnesty, which he supports because of the need to be sworn in: “He is making problems for his personal needs for the Spanish; of their greed, immorality and their selfishness, humiliation.”

During the march in Madrid, the president of VoxSantiago Abascal has accused Sánchez of spearheading a “coup”, for which he has promised his party will maintain a “permanent mobilization”.
