The PNV would get two fewer seats than in the elections four years ago (29), EH Bildu would get four more (25), PSE-EE (11) and PP (7) would each get one extra, Elkarrekin Podemos – IU would lose half its representation (3), and Vox would be left out of the Basque parliament.

The PNV would again win the elections for the Basque parliament, but lose support EH Bildu would be the force that would rise the most, according to the latest sociometer on voting intentions published today by the Basque government. PSE-EE and PP would also improve their results, unlike Elkarrekin Podemos – IU, which would reduce its representation by half.
The PNV and the PSE-EE would again add an absolute majoritybut the Jeltzales would lose two seats (29) and the Socialists would gain one representative (11), EH Bildu would gain four more than in 2020 (25), the PP would gain one more representative (7) , Elkarrekin Podemos – IU would keep three (three less), and Vox would receive no representation.
The first force would remain the PNV (29), ahead of EH Bildu (25), PSE-EE (11), PP (7), which overtakes Elkarrekin Podemos – IU (3). In turn, Vox would be left out of the Basque parliament.
However, the PNV would not repeat its victory in the three areas, as EH Bildu would be the leading force in Gipuzkoa, both in terms of voting intention, vote estimation and seat distribution.
This would be the result by territories:
– Alava: PNV (8), EH Bildu (7), PSE-EE (5), PP (4) and Elkarrekin Podemos – IU (1).
– Bizkaia: PNV (12), EH Bildu (7), PSE-EE (3), PP (2) and Elkarrekin Podemos – IU (1).
– Gipuzkoa: EH Bildu (11), EAJ (9), PSE-EE (3), Elkarrekin Podemos – IU (1) and PP (1).
In ÁlavaAs for the outcome of the 2020 elections, PNV and Elkarrekin Podemos – IU would lose one, and EH Bildu, PSE-EE and PP would add one more. For its part, Vox would receive no representation on this occasion.
In BizkaiaEH Bildu would get one extra seat, at the expense of Elkarrekin Podemos – IU.
In GipuzkoaThe PNV and Elkarrekin Podemos – IU would each lose one parliamentarian, and EH Bildu would add two more.
An information gathering has taken place between November 21 and 24, 2023 through an individual computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI), using a structured and closed questionnaire, carried out with a representative sample of the population of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. The fieldwork was 97.6% completed before it was announced that Iñigo Urkullu would not be the PNV candidate for the next elections. It was then learned that Arnaldo Otegi will not be a candidate for EH Bildu’s lehendakari.
The sample, aimed at a population aged 18 years and over, was distributed as follows: 730 people in Álava, 1,315 in Bizkaia and 985 in Gipuzkoa, for a total of 3,030 people interviewed.
