In a new survey of the “District Papers”, the communist from Salzburg was able to take first place. State Governor Wilfried Haslauer is only fifth, behind three ÖVP state councilors.
Most recently he was the pollster and now he is also at the top of the trust rankings: Kay-Michael Dankl of the KPÖ Plus is flying high. The “District Papers” asked 800 people from Salzburg which state politicians they knew and trusted.
The results are astonishing: a signpost for the upcoming mayoral elections on March 10. According to the survey, 63 percent of respondents knew Dankl. Of these people, 80 percent answered the confidence question with “very” or “fairly” – the highest rating of all state politicians.
The first of the ÖVP, agricultural state councilor Josef Schwaiger, came in second place: 64 percent know him, of whom 71 percent trust him. He was followed by State Councilor for Transport Stefan Schnöll, State Councilor for Education Daniela Gutschi and State Governor Wilfried Haslauer (all ÖVP).
The head of the country is by far the best known: 98 percent know him, but only 54 percent trust him. State Vice President Marlene Svazek (FPÖ) is also very well known in the country: 90 percent know her and almost half of them trust her. The two FPÖ state councilors Christian Pewny and Martin Zauner suffer from a lack of awareness – only about 30 percent know them. David Egger (SPÖ) is known by 80 percent, but only slightly more than half of these people trust him. A comparable value to Martina Berthold of the Greens.
