Former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) and his former chief of staff Bernhard Bonelli recently became business partners. Kurz, through his SK Management GmbH, has a 50 percent stake in Bonelli’s start-up fund Cocoon Capital Advisory.
The Managing Director of the company, founded in 2022, is Bonelli. His former co-partner, a former McKinsey partner, has given up his shares, reports Trend magazine.
Briefly involved in various companies
Kurz is already involved in several companies. The former ÖVP boss, together with C-Quadrat founder Alexander Schütz, owns AS2K BeteiligungsgmbH, which in turn owns shares in the nursing service HeldYn.
Kurz owns some shares in Graz-based AI company Mediaia and Israeli cybersecurity startup Dream Security.
Together in court
Kurz and Bonelli are currently on trial on charges of making false statements to the Ibiza U committee. The defendants deny the allegations.
