On the occasion of the health campaign week, the SPÖ calls for fairer wages for nursing students. The demand is 2300 euros gross. “If we talk about appreciation, concrete actions must follow,” demands club boss and SPÖ health spokesman Philip Kucher in the krone.tv lecture. In healthcare, people are at their limits. “Many people can no longer cope physically or mentally.”
“You don’t have to whine about the whole thing and it doesn’t help at all. “Politicians are clearly obliged to roll up their sleeves across all party lines,” Kucher said in an interview with Jana Pasching. Long waiting times and few staff: “The problem is solvable.” Other countries would show that it is possible.
“Nehammer has failed”
Kucher also spoke about Chancellor Karl Nehammer’s speech. “Now he thinks he’s the next Kennedy and he’s giving a State of the Union address. He philosophizes about what he will do in 2030.” Nehammer has had one task for the past two years: to ensure that inflation is fought and prices are reduced in Austria. “He failed in this important area,” Kucher said.
