Good infrastructure, cultural offerings and safety make Vienna the most liveable city year after year. When it comes to innovation, parties look far away. Not all suggestions are wrong, but there are problems with their implementation.
“There will be a Central Park between the lanes on the Belt,” it was announced last week at an ÖVP press conference. Such comparisons are not new and are popular in project proposals from all parties. Strange, because our federal capital itself serves as a role model for many cities. Why should we always look outside and not be proud of Vienna?
