The PSOE asks the Congressional Board to extend the deadline for a new opinion on the amnesty law

Date:

The PSOE wants a 15-day extension from Wednesday, when the original deadline expires. The PP accuses the Socialists of paving the way for granting new concessions and meeting the demands of their independence partners.

He Socialist Parliamentary Group has applied for Congress board the extension of the period for issuing a new opinion of the proposal for the organic amnesty law of the Justice Committee, since then ends Wednesday.

The request was made this Saturday, a few days before the deadline set by the College on February 6, when it was agreed that the Justice Commission would issue a new opinion within fifteen days, as highlighted in the register of the low camera.

Sources from the Popular Parliamentary Group have stated that with this request the PSOE is “preparing the ground to subject the Spaniards to new concessions”, as it “asks time to continue processing the demands of its independence partners”.

The sources cited have highlighted the fact that now, with this request, “the same people who were looking for an urgent procedure and shortening of deadlines, even if on an irregular basis, are now asking for extensions.”

“Sánchez’s presidency is based on saying yes to everything his partners ask for,” underlined the same sources who have emphasized that in the field of the independence movement there are already two types of criminals: those who have been granted amnesty and those who have been pardoned.

The proposed amnesty law did not exceed the absolute majority needed to be approved in the plenary session of Congress on January 30, as the Junts had fulfilled its threat to pull the plug, and its text had been sent to the Justice Committee sent to reopen negotiations and present a different text to the floor.
