The current broadcast of “Club 3” covers the topics of digitalization, the start of the child protection campaign, but also politics itself. Guests include State Secretary (ÖVP) Claudia Plakolm, PR and digitalization expert Markus Habermann and ‘Krone journalist’ Niko Frings. krone.tv presenter Tanja Pfaffeneder will lead the show.
The previous State Secretary for Youth and Voluntary Work, Claudia Plakolm (ÖVP), was only recently assigned a different agenda. The politician took over the digitalization department from Florian Tursky. “Digitalization is a great opportunity for society and also for Austria as a business location,” says Plakolm. But behind the shiny screens lies another side that many of us fail to notice or ignore: the eavesdropping phenomenon. Cell phones that listen discreetly and then suddenly start showing ads about the topics we were just talking about are a concern for many. It seems as if our devices not only passively respond to our commands, but also actively eavesdrop on our private lives to generate personalized advertisements. “Someone is listening, there is always a certain degree of espionage via mobile phones,” says digitalization expert Markus Habermann.
“Club 3” also discussed the child protection campaign and a possible three-party coalition.
