The Attorney General is asking for amnesty for the four convicts serving a disqualification sentence for embezzlement and for three who are being prosecuted for embezzlement and disobedience.
The Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, has ordered the four Supreme Court prosecutors who participated in the lawsuit judgment of processes to ask the Supreme Court to grant the amnesty all crimes of the Catalan independence leaders, including embezzlement.
García Ortiz has sent a legal report to the leadership of the Prosecutor’s Office and on Tuesday convened a Council of Prosecutors to determine the position of the Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the application of the amnesty to those convicted and prosecuted by the Supreme Court, as stated by the prosecutors of the processesadvocates of unforgiveness embezzlementin case you don’t agree with them.
