German investigators say they have succeeded in delivering the biggest blow yet against the cocaine trade in our neighboring country. It is said that searches have taken place in seven states and seven arrest warrants have been executed.
As the Stuttgart customs investigation office and the Düsseldorf public prosecutor announced on Friday, “tens of tons of cocaine worth several billion euros were withdrawn from circulation.” According to information from the newspaper ‘Bild’, it concerns 35 tons of cocaine.
The German researchers speak of “extensive access and search measures”. However, the authorities do not want to reveal details about the investigation until Monday at a press conference in Düsseldorf.
