The president of the Catalan National Assembly, Lluís Llach, wanted to make it clear that despite the loss of parliamentary support, the Catalan independence movement remains strong in society. And now it is up to society to follow the path that was not possible with the parties.
Interviewed on Radio Euskadi’s Ganbara, ANC president Lluís Llach expressed confidence that the independence movement could regain strength during the demonstration scheduled for tomorrow, the day of the Catalan Diada. According to Llach, the loss of parliamentary support for Catalan parties is nothing more than a symptom of “electorate fatigue”, but remember that not going to the polls does not mean that these potential voters are no longer pro-independence supporters.
Regarding Esquerra’s situation, he claims to be surprised by the party’s internal discrepancies and warns that “it is possible that Esquerra will pay an even higher electoral price” than it already paid in the last elections.
Llach has described the separate financing as dirty and assured that “Catalonia is suffering from a plundering” that prevents it from developing advanced structures.
