The meetings into one Health pact in the Basque Autonomous Community will live their lives today second chapterfrom 10 a.m., at the health research institute’s headquarters Biogipuzkoain San Sebastian. This time the lehendakari will not be present and counsel Alberto Martínez will chair the meeting at his own request, which the ESK union will join.
The Basque government, political parties, trade unions, employers, health professional associations, user associations and universities are taking part in this series of meetings in search of an agreement that will prevent the “continuous deterioration” of public health care.
At the first meeting, in early September, the Ministry of Health sent participants a document outlining structural reforms in response to a diagnosis that highlighted Osakidetza’s “underfunding.” Today it’s your turn to listen to the rest of the participants. The professor of Pharmacology at the UPV/EHU, Javier Meanacoordinates these meetings and collects the agents’ contributions.
The rest of the participants were generally satisfied with the first attempt to agree on common actions, although they remain cautious about possible progress.
