Thousands of people will take part in a demonstration starting at 5 p.m. and led by both ETA and state victims.
The Sare Citizens Network will today call for the “final solution” of the Basque conflict during the demonstration it will hold today in Bilbao, under the motto “Absolutely. Peace. Solution. Coexistence.”
Sare believes that it is “necessary” to provide a “final and fair solution” to the issue of Basque prisoners, exiles and deportees, and in turn achieve “fair treatment” for “all victims” of all the violence suffered.
Sare has denounced that more than six years after ETA’s disappearance, exceptional circumstances persist and that “the rights of Basque prisoners continue to be violated” and that therefore “a final solution is necessary”.
On the other hand, Sare has stated that to achieve “solid” coexistence, a “fair solution to the problem of prisons, exiles and deportees”, and “recognizing and supporting the victims of all the violence suffered”.
Having overcome the scenarios of violence, Sare believes that “it is also time for us to succeed in overcoming the scenarios of injustice, the result of the confrontation experienced.” “With generosity, honesty and responsibility, Basque society has shown over the past ten years that it is possible to live in freedom, to move forward without forgetting, but also without hating. From Sare, we will continue to work towards making this scenario a reality,” he said. added.
