Sanfermines 78: gogoan! and the Federation of Peñas de Pamplona/Iruña will return on July 8 to commemorate the victims and demand justice for the events of the 1978 Sanfermines.

For the first time, and with the intention of continuing in the future, all the activities organized around July 8th have been canceled jointly organized by both groups, as explained in the presentation of the planned actions for the next holidays.

As usual they will call on July 8 to participate in a concentration which will take place at 1 pm, next to the vigil that remembers Germán Rodríguez, murdered by police shots at those parties.

They also invite you to the minute of silence which will take place in the bullfight and, when it is over, to join the Peñas who, with their gathered banners, will go silently to the stela to pay their respects to German and all the victims of those San Fermin festivals.

During the presentation, they recalled the recent visit of the Argentine lawyer to the capital of Navarra juliet bandiralione of the main promoters of the so-called “Argentine complaint”, exposing the situation in which the aforementioned complaint finds itself, as well as the criminal charge of Martín Villa, “the main political person responsible for the barbarity of the police during the sanfermines of 1978”, in which “two young people were killed, eleven people were injured by bullets and about three hundred were treated in health centers.

In his interviews he insisted on the need to do not stop in the effort to achieve truth, justice and satisfaction against the crimes of Francoism, a demand that a delegation of these groups, along with other organisations, has brought to the European Parliament and on which they will continue to work.

Along these lines, they have indicated that they will continue to mobilize “to ensure that the doors of the Navarrese and Spanish judiciary are opened once and for all to all requests for justice that have been made”.
