US President Donald Trump recently raised the pressure on both parties to end the bloodshed in Ukraine. But the Ukrainian president Wolodyymyr Senskyj is skeptical whether Moscow is even interested in serious conversations.
On the contrary, Kremlin Chief Vladimir Putin is preparing for a continuation of the war by upgrading. “We now know that the Russians set up new divisions and develop new military production facilities,” says Senskyj. Senskyj: “Don’t just come to us”
“And that means something simple: Putin is not preparing for negotiations, not for peace, but for the continuation of the war, and not only to us,” Senskyj said in a video message on Saturday evening.
“All partners must know about it and see it.” In Europe, every country must strengthen its defense. The aim of issuing five percent of the economic output will “not disappear from the agenda,” the Ukrainian head of state predicted.

Trump: Meeting with Senskyj next week
Trump promised an early meeting with Senskyj on Friday. “I will probably meet President Senskyj next week,” said the head of state in the White House during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
