The Constitutional Crisis threatens – The American highest court threatens Trump’s plans

Date:

The United States Supreme Court has temporarily suspended the deportation of various Venezuelan men in immigration. The men must be referred to the country without a good procedure. The United States now threaten a constitutional crisis.

“The government is instructed not to deport any members of this alleged prisoner group from the United States until further notice,” said the judges published in a Saturday morning.

The Venezolans lawyers had stated that their clients threatened their clients without the judicial review that was previously ordered by the judges. In the middle of the dispute are dozens of Venezuelans that are held in the BlueBonnet prison in Ansern, Texas.

Lawyers of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) submitted urgency questions to various courts on Friday, including the Supreme Court. Earlier they had reported that some men had already taken them to buses and that they had been announced. The ACLU said that because of the rapid development, the men had no realistic opportunity to dispute their deportation, as the Supreme Court had asked.

Deadlines are unclear
The Supreme Court did not provide information about how much time the migrants should get now. Lawyers throughout the country demanded a period of 30 days so that they can dispute the deportation.

The government of US President Donald Trump has not publicly commented on how much time he wants to give the migrants. She described her as members of a gang involved in human trafficking and other crimes in South America. “We will not reveal the details of our anti-terrorist mission, but we will adhere to the judgment of the Supreme Court,” said the vice-minister of Home Protection, Tricia McLaughlin, on Friday.

Constitutional crisis threatens
The case raises the question of whether the Trump government attaches itself to the boundaries set by the Supreme Court. It brings the risk of a considerable conflict between the two equal powers and possibly even an extensive constitutional crisis.

Trump had promised in the election campaign that it was huge against migrants. From 1798, the President referred to the Alien Enemies Act for alleged members of the Tren de Aragua, a criminal gang of Venezuelan prisons, who classifies her government as a terrorist association.
