Skilling breakdown in the Tyrolean State Parliament: In the most recent meeting this week, Günther Platter was accidentally decided for Alt-Landshauptmann (LH). Due to a paragraaffout, he would now have to receive the lifehidea of the honorary ring instead of as planned.
The granting of the honorary doctorate for Schotel had recently caused a debate. During the confidential meeting on Wednesday evening, 22 of the 36 MPs voted for the award of the prize.
Change in law as the cause
What nobody suspected, however: the paragraph of the wrong law was applied. Accordingly, flatter would not receive the ring of the country, but the Life Rescue Medal, because it was referred to a false paragraph. This happened because in 2025 changes in the Award Act came into effect that were clearly overlooked, according to the country house.
Apparently as planned
In the first instance it was unclear whether this formal error will prevent the planned price on July 1. The country house or the constitutional service there was said that the “right” ceremony should still take place as planned.
